IMG_2396Michael brings extensive online media experience to Texas Redzone Report. He has a long history in journalism, sports and online media. He is the CEO/Founder of the Project Spurs Network.

Michael founded Project Spurs in 2004, which was named the Best San Antonio Spurs blog by Deadspin. Since then he has helped develop the site and expanded it into a full network including sister sites ATXSpurs, Stars Hoops, Rampage Central, Red Black 90 and now Texas Redzone Report.

Michael has been interviewed by the BBC, SportTalk Europe, the Sports Reporters Radio Show, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio and Memphis Sport Live among others. He has spoken at several new media conferences and was a panelist, host and producer of the News 4 San Antonio Sports Round Table.

He is a credentialed member of the media for the NBA, FIBA, San Antonio Spurs, San Antonio Stars and Austin Spurs. He is also a contributor to Sheridan Hoops, Cox Sports, and KABB Fox 29. He has served as a ghost writer for articles featured on the Washington Post, NBC, CBS and ESPN.

In 2009, Michael was one of several key San Antonio natives invited to become part of the San Antonio Express-News City Brights section of luminaries. He has also held the position of Sports Editor and NBA Editor for the Most Valuable Network and the Bloguin Sports Network, and has served as Managing Editor covering high school football.

He studied journalism at San Antonio College before earning his start in sportswriting at La Prensa de San Antonio bilingual newspaper in San Antonio.
