In order to mix it up a little bit and in anticipation of our big move to a new site hopefully this week, we have made a tweak to the way we rank the top teams in the San Antonio area. Instead of your traditional Top 10, this effort will now be called the 210 Eleven.
Only four games in Week 6 featured ranked teams, with No. 2 O’Connor holding off a pesky Warren team on Saturday night, 27-23. O’Connor moved to 6-0 on the season heading into its bye week.
In a battle of ranked teams, Reagan held off Churchill 28-21 thanks to 272 total yards and three TDs from sophomore Travis Sthele.
No. 7 Johnson smacked MacArthur 28-0 in a game where sophomore QB Mike Chandler was impressive. The Alex Brown-led Jaguars defense played extremely well, shutting out Tyler Vitt and the Brahmas.
No. 8 Brandeis pounded winless Taft 52-3 to move to 5-1 on the season.
